Queensland’s Caravan Parks shone at the recent Queensland Tourism Awards held on 16 November on the Gold Coast.
This year, we saw four member parks honoured for their outstanding achievements in the Caravan & Holiday Parks category at the glittering event held at The Star.
The exceptional parks…
Greg McKinnon from BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday said “It’s a fantastic achievement as owners and for staff to be recognised as a leader in the state in the caravan and holiday park category of the Queensland Tourism Awards in our 22nd year of continuous participation.”
Capricorn Caves also took out Gold in the Tourist Attraction category which was an emotional win for the team after the recent passing of owner Ann Augusteyn.
General Manager of the Caravan Parks Association of Queensland, Michelle Weston, said these incredible wins by their members are a shining example of why Queensland’s tourism, and particularly the caravanning and camping sector, has recorded growth in 2018.
The Queensland Tourism Awards celebrate the State’s most outstanding tourism operators and is hosted by the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC). This year, the event attracted over 200 entries across 28 categories, including 10 entries from Caravan Parks across the state.
