Fraser Coast Parks

Fraser Coast Caravan Parks

While the Fraser Coast is best known for its whale watching, visitors to the region quickly learn that there is much more on offer than just the whales.

The Fraser Coast is the home of big nature experiences.  Stand dwarfed by centuries-old trees with three-metre girths in the rainforest of World Heritage-listed Fraser Island, paddle in cool perched lakes, swim with giant humpbacks as they play along the Hervey Bay coast or in the company of hundreds of manta rays off Lady Elliot Island.

The Great Sandy Strait is home to calm, clear turquoise waters and is recognised as an UNESCO wetland area.  These waters are sheltered by Fraser Island and Hervey Bay, and rival the Whitsundays for unique sailing conditions and stunning scenery.  The region is home to incredible marine life including dugongs, turtles and rare Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins. It is also home to a number of heritage-listed lighthouses.

Don’t forget to head Inland, and check out the heritage city of Maryborough, one of Queensland’s oldest provincial cities which is full of striking art and tales of the past.

The Fraser Coast has a caravan park for every type of traveller with plenty of powered and unpowered sites and a range of cabins available, as well as pet friendly caravan parks.  Please contact the caravan park you are interested in directly for more information.
