Meet our Winner

The winner of the 2021 Outstanding Host Award is Broadwater Tourist Park, managed by Optimum Park Management!

(L-R) Paul, Kim and Brooke Turner of Broadwater Tourist Park

The team at Broadwater Tourist Park believe in making their guests feeling truly valued, they believe strongly in creating a connection with guests and making guests feel a part of the Broadwater Family.

Park Managers, Kim and Paul, advised us that this is not only because they are a family run business with not just them, but also their kids heavily involved in the business. They have also worked hard to ensure their entire team feel part of the extended Broadwater Family which has meant they are as committed to making a guests stay a memorable one as Kim and Paul are.

The park is proud of their guests reviews, not only for their high scores but more importantly as a result of the amazing comments they receive about the teams friendliness and helpfulness along with their fantastically clean facilities – all a result of the team taking immense pride in their work.

Broadwater Tourist Park has received the exceptional rating of  4.7 out of 5 on Expedia, a GRI of 93% and a service score of 9.44 on their Net Promotor Surveys.

In their nomination, the park provided some great examples of when the team has gone above and beyond, including Paul and the facilities team members regularly assisting guests helping to fix issues for them – from minor repairs to caravans/camper trailers and awnings through to transporting guests to the local mechanic or medical appointments.

Paul is also the face of their Pancake Breakfasts which is a very popular guest activity, Paul makes the mix himself which takes hours as he has to prepare up to 100 litres of pancake mix! He then cooks all the pancakes with some help from staff or volunteers, feeding anywhere between 100 to 500 guests.

The parks activities co-ordinator Brooke is a bundle of energy and well regarded for her exceptional work with guests from toddlers right through to older guests, she makes it her mission to do everything she can to help them have a brilliant stay.

There are several team members who are consistently mentioned in feedback for their amazing service.

Vicki, Leisa, Brooke and Jake in reception are often singled out by guests for positively impacting their stay.

The housekeeping team are regularly recognised not only through feedback in reviews and emails but also in notes and small appreciation gifts left in cabins on departure.

The facilities team are often mentioned for being approachable, friendly and helpful to guests and go out of their way to fix any issues a guest has.

It sounds like the entire team at this park are truly Outstanding Hosts.

Congratulations to Paul, Kim, Brooke and the team at Broadwater Tourist Park, winner of the 2021 Outstanding Host Award.
