CENTRAL HIGHLANDS

Here ancient white sandstone cliffs, up to 200 metres high, overlook an emerald green oasis of creeks and waterfalls.

While the National Park is a vast 298,000 hectares, most explore along the gorge area, a 30km chasm that twists and turns between the rugged cliffs.

There are 21km of graded walking tracks criss-crossing freshwater streams, through tropical gorges, past tranquil waterfalls and sandstone cliffs. Deep rock crevices conceal ancient Aboriginal art sites.
